The Top Five Reasons to Attend Producers Unveiled 2024

Grab your (free) tickets! Registration is open for this year’s Producers Unveiled, scheduled for Wednesday, April 17. CAIC’s annual culminating event celebrates our extraordinary program attendees and alumni, allowing them to showcase their products and share their stories of success. It’s also a perfect opportunity to connect with industry leaders and service providers from throughout the Delmarva region.

Still haven’t signed up? Here are the top five reasons you should consider attending this year’s Producers Unveiled.

1. Business insights from successful producers

Gain new insight into what it takes to start, run, and grow a successful business in the agricultural industry with presentations from current Producers Growth Program participants and alumni, including Chew On This Jerky, Tobacco Barn Distillery, and Flying Plow Farm. You’ll also hear from farmers enrolled in our popular new From Ideas to Profits program, who are transforming the ingredients they grow into value-added products.

2. Inspiring guest speakers

Get inspired by our keynote speaker Andrea Davis-Cetina, the founder and owner of Quarter Acre Farm, who will talk about her success as both a farmer and value-added producer. Later, Delaware Department of Agriculture Deputy Principal Assistant George Class-Peters Jr. will discuss the ways his agency is available to support farmers and producers in the state.

3. Lavender!

Immerse yourself in spring flowers at our venue, the gorgeous Lavender Fields at Warrington Manor. A historic, woman-owned farm, it’s the perfect place to celebrate Delmarva agriculture. You’ll have plenty of time to explore the grounds and snap pictures for Instagram—and you’ll enjoy a 10 percent discount at the farm shop.

4. The networking and community

Connect with your fellow farmers and producers, along with industry leaders, service providers, buyers, and distributors from across the region. Last year’s Producers Unveiled drew more than 60 attendees, and we’re anticipating an even bigger crowd this year.

5. Shopping (and free food)!

Sample some of the best that local producers have to offer (or even get a very early start on your holiday shopping) at our vibrant pop-up farmers market. With products from current CAIC participants, as well as alumni including Hope’s Caramels and Oksana’s Produce Farm, there’s lots to explore. You can also look forward to free breakfast (including coffee from Growth Program alum Iron Skillet Coffee) and lunch.
